A new independent English run craft brewery based in the French Alpes. Fusing traditional techniques and selling to modern multi-national consumers.
The brewery have a quick turn around and small runs, so the graphic language has to be versatile with many possibilities for variation; hence the use of typography and block colour for each new batch. The primary bold colours take influence from the bright, easily identifiable Tour de France jerseys that speed past the town every year, combined with a lock-up inspired by the London Monopoly property cards.
Each beer has a name that is based on quintessentially obscure British humour, using idioms for each beer that would intrigue French and Italian drinkers, and amusing to the English customer. Each bearing a bespoke logotype that conveys the nature of the brew, influenced by artisan typographic techniques. The logo contains six graphical waves representing the valley's glacial water sources, and are enclosed by the two interlocking peaks of Les Deux Alpes. The initials of Goodwin Brewery serendipitously nod to the GB stickers required to denote British motorists in France.
